Shore Patrol: Our Non-Skating Officials (NSO)

Non-Skating Officials (NSOs) are vital to the derby community. Whether they're score keeping, penalty tracking, running the box, working the box, jam timing, updating the score board, or announcing, we couldn't do it without them.

Years ago, around 2011 and 2012, the skating and nonskating officials of Dockyard came to refer themselves to the Dockside. Appropriately, they would take the track to the sound of the Imperial/Darth March. Skates on the track feared a penalty from them like a Stormtrooper fears the dreadful clasp of a chokehold by way of the Force. (Thanks to Nolan Walz for the photo Of Dockside badge.
